“If not this year, when?” Written on a billboard visible during my drive, I need to stop and reflect. Displayed by a company selling bikes, skis, and other athletic equipment to entice would-be exercisers to act; to pull over and finally get the gear.
I have a good bike and don’t need one, I tell myself. But, each time I see “If not this year, when?” during my daily drive my mind starts to scan all the areas where this may apply. Some of which are: spending more time with those you love, more self-care and rest, making amends with others, creating space more in tune with who you are. To name a few….
What rolls through your mind when you see “If not this year, when?” What small thing could you do today to move closer to accomplishing just one of these things? Call the friend and apologize. Just go outside and move. Help someone in need. What if you were to just begin right now?
